There’s a moment when the decision is made. You are going to purchase or sell a home….and then the adventure begins, and emotions run high. It’s an exciting time that can be thrilling when the offer is accepted, filled with anxiety during inspections and repair negotiations, bursting with a sense of relief when the appraisal and inspection negotiations are behind you, and exhilarating when you receive the call that the property has recorded!
The process of purchasing or selling a home should be about you. It should be fun. It should be exciting. Ultimately, you should be comfortable and knowledgeable about how the process works.
Finding someone who can accomplish these goals, be your best advocate, who will communicate with you and advise you is a critical decision in creating a wonderfully memorable experience. I would love to be that person.
Knowing what to expect is critical when selling your home – you don’t want surprises. Maximizing the preparation and marketing can significantly impact the net you receive for your home. You have the choice of how much you want to be involved, from doing everything yourself to allowing me to do it all for you. It is up to you. You choose how to expose your home, from signs, internet, lockboxes, etc.
When purchasing a home, knowing the process is especially critical. What kind of market we are in, what to expect from lenders, learning about different neighborhoods and what they offer – these are some topics you will want to know…and more! Guidance through viewing homes, writing an offer, inspections, and negotiating repairs is critical. I can guide you through the gauntlet with fun and conversation.
As a trained mediator and an ombudsman for the Sacramento Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors, my love of creative problem-solving is vital during negotiations. Offering alternatives in writing or responding to an offer, suggesting advantages in how you approach costs, and proposing tactics to accomplish your goals; these are my objectives for you.
I am very proud to be the Past President of the Sacramento Association of Realtors in 2014, Chair of the Sacramento Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee in 2019, 2023, and 2024, and Chair of the California Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee in 2022. I believe in “doing things right”. Open communication and availability day and night for all of your concerns…this is my promise to you.
On a more personal note, I am proud to be a native Sacramentan, raised in South Land Park Terrace. My husband and I married in 1979 and have three children. We have lived in Land Park since our marriage and are fortunate to have our children and grandchildren living within 5 minutes of us. My husband and I own Dunnigan, Realtors along with our children. When not working, I love to sculpt in clay, spend time with our grandchildren, or walk our two unruly English Springers.
